COFFEE ORIGIN

Coffee was first discovered in Ethiopia, East Africa.

According to legend, a goat herder named Kaldi noticed his goats became energetic after eating red coffee cherries.

Kaldi shared his discovery, and people began to experiment with the coffee beans.

Coffee later spread to Yemen, where it was first grown and prepared as a drink in the 15th century.

The port of Mocha (Yemen) became an important center for coffee trade.

Through trade, coffee spread to the Middle East, Europe, and the Americas.

Today, coffee is grown in tropical regions around the world known as the Coffee Belt.

The country or region where coffee is grown is called its origin, and it influences the coffee’s taste, aroma, and body.
