RUMAHKOPI38’S STORY

☕ The Inspiring Story of Rumah Kopi 38 (RK38)

The journey of Rumah Kopi 38 (RK38) is a powerful testament to entrepreneurial spirit, demonstrating how a thriving business can emerge from humble beginnings and thrive even through challenging times.

🏡 Seeds of Business During MCO (2019-2020)

The foundation was laid by Nur Nadirah in 2019, but her true entrepreneurial spirit was ignited when the COVID-19 pandemic struck and the Movement Control Order (MCO/PKP) was enforced.

Armed with only a small, home-use coffee machine, Nadirah utilized her time at home to start a business on the most basic scale. She focused on taking small, bottled coffee orders from family members and close friends. The quality of her coffee, despite the modest equipment, quickly gained traction and appreciation.

🔨 Evolution from Garage to Community Café

The encouragement and positive response proved that the business had significant potential. Soon after, Nadirah and her team took a courageous step: transforming a section of their home garage into a small, functional café.

This renovated space was equipped with more complete and professional coffee tools, marking the transition from a home hobby to a serious venture. Nadirah was not alone in this journey; she was strongly supported by her beloved husband, Asral Faiz, and her sister, Nur Hikmah, who together became the core team managing the daily operations.

The RK38 garage café quickly became a popular spot among the neighborhood, serving not just as a coffee dispensary but as a small community hub. The overwhelming support allowed the business to expand, even providing job opportunities for several young people in the surrounding area, thus contributing back to the local community.

🌟 Stepping Up to a Commercial Shop Lot (2024)

After several years of operation and building a solid reputation, the demand for RK38’s coffee continued to soar. This momentum led to their biggest milestone yet:

In March 2024, Nur Nadirah, Asral, and Nur Hikmah officially opened a larger, more established café branch in a shop lot at Seharum 5, Taman Bukit Dahlia.

The move from the small garage café to a fully equipped commercial location is the pinnacle of their success, signifying that RK38 is no longer just a home project but a mature and beloved coffee brand. It stands as proof that with passion, family teamwork, and quality coffee, dreams can indeed be brewed into reality.
